Description:
The Duke Energy Smart $aver Program promotes the use of high efficiency heating and cooling systems to help lower your energy costs and make your home more comfortable. The Smart $aver Program also applies to new homes. The Smart $aver Program is available to Duke Energy residential customers in Ohio. Other states served by Duke Energy may have similar program offerings.
Existing Residences:
- Heat Pumps: must be 14 SEER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $200
- Air Conditioners: must be 14 SEER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $200
- Geothermal Heat Pumps: must be 10.5 EER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $200
- Gas Furnaces: must be a 90% AFUE or greater $200
- New 90% AFUE or greater natural gas furnace combined with a new, qualifying AC or heat pump as described above $400
New Contruction:
- Heat Pumps: must be 14 SEER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $300
- Air Conditioners: must be 14 SEER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $300
- Geothermal Heat Pumps: must be 10.5 EER or greater and include an ECM fan motor $300
- Gas Furnaces: must be a 90% AFUE or greater $300
- New 90% AFUE or greater natural gas furnace combined with a new, qualifying AC or heat pump as described above $600
